On another note, it's sad to say that we will be having to look for new camels soon. Our camels are slowly dying and we know that we will have to get rid of them soon and find new ones. Hopefully there will be plenty to pick from in Bactria. I'm sure there are few good friends of mine that can help me out!

Oh Hey MERV! (Day 143)
As we're getting closer to Bactria, we made another stop at Merv. There, it was completely different from the past places that we've gone to. Mer is a small city in Turkmenistan and and has barely anything in it. The city is all desert and there are barely any mountains or have any water around. We got to see many domes and things created by man which was very interesting and amazing. The architecture was was so neatly done, it makes me wonder how long it took for them to finish. Some of the people said that it took from just a couple to many years to perfect some of the buildings. The people there were all fantastically smart-mathematicians and poets. There were also many different people with different religions there including: Zoroastrianism of the Sassanids, including many Buddhists, Manichaeans, and Nestorian Christians.

Hopefully there will be plenty to pick from in Bactria. I'm sure there are few good friends of mine that can help me out!
