Next Stop: Gilgit (Day 68)

While we continued on our way, we met a couple people that took us to this very nice city called Gilgit. When going there, I was very skeptical to come to this city considering how little I knew of it. As we came up to the city, there were many mountains around and snow, so white, on the tips of the mountains. I was able to see some men going up that mountain which made me very curious as to what they were doing.. Maybe they're just having fun? The first place that we went to was a temple. There were many Buddhist and monks that were all so serene and happy. They showed us some  Buddhist Sanskrit texts that were very interesting. Of course, our friends were the ones that had to translate it but it was really good to see how Buddhism is and the effects of it here in Gilgit.Our friends were able to give their own opinion and insight on the whole ordeal. Some said that they were so proud to have people from their own town be Buddhist.   I was able to learn and understand more about their culture and religions.
