As sad as it is to leave Bactria, it is time to go home. It's so crazy that we were able to do all of this in less than a 7 months! Ten months to be exact! I feel very fortunate to be able to go and travel all around the silk road considering how not many women are allowed to this without their husbands or some sort of male. From this, I was able to learn the trading system, different types of spices used in many different cities, and even the geography of the silk road. I was able to understand the cultures of different people and know what it is like to have the religion, Buddhism. The whole gang (which included Edha, her husband, and mine) are now able to appreciate how great our life is. For now, we won’t need to worry about land of food. Because I am not really allowed to own land or trade very much, I am glad that my husband let me come with him to explore the world. Seeing completely different people was so exciting! It was even more exciting that I was able to sell a lot of my silk scarves to women and kids. They were so happy to see my styles and my scarves. Here are some picture of the scarves I sold!

Destination:Bactria! (Day 199)
We are finally here, and I got to see a friend of mine, MO! Mo is a very...interesting person. Though she doesn't have the best life, she finds ways to keep people entertained whether it is dancing or singing to and unknown song under a acacia tree. Here she is:
When meeting up with Mo, she was able to give us a couple camels for a couple of silk clothing and a small amount of spices which was a great deal considering how much camels she was able to give us!I am so glad to be able to see her and get the camels for such a good deal considering how things such as camels can be so expensive. Because our old camels are getting so old, it was causing us to travel very slowly so thank you again to Mo!
In Bactria, we were able to do most of our trading there! We got a variety of spices and other silks and we were able to go to different monuments! There were a lot of friendly people there to show us around teach us the things that they knew! Here are a couple of spices and camels we got in Bactria!
Oh Hey MERV! (Day 143)
As we're getting closer to Bactria, we made another stop at Merv. There, it was completely different from the past places that we've gone to. Mer is a small city in Turkmenistan and and has barely anything in it. The city is all desert and there are barely any mountains or have any water around. We got to see many domes and things created by man which was very interesting and amazing. The architecture was was so neatly done, it makes me wonder how long it took for them to finish. Some of the people said that it took from just a couple to many years to perfect some of the buildings. The people there were all fantastically smart-mathematicians and poets. There were also many different people with different religions there including: Zoroastrianism of the Sassanids, including many Buddhists, Manichaeans, and Nestorian Christians.
On another note, it's sad to say that we will be having to look for new camels soon. Our camels are slowly dying and we know that we will have to get rid of them soon and find new ones. Hopefully there will be plenty to pick from in Bactria. I'm sure there are few good friends of mine that can help me out!

Kashgar! (Day 98)
To get to Bactria, the whole gang and I decided to go to Kashgar! In Kashgar we saw a lot of land which was very surprising. Another thing I found really surprising was they were not Chinese. They were just outside of China and had little to do with it besides the Han Dynasty wanting to come and take land. Much of the land was filled with grass and many different animals. With so much of it, it seemed like there were only a few people living in the area. I was surprised by how many people there actually was.
While we rested, we noticed a fight going on. Emann and Dakshi (the husbands) went to the fight to see what was going on. We found out that because the people that lived there may lose their land, everyone is fighting over who deserved the most. With such crisis's, there have been numerous fights within the city.
On the bright side of things, Edha and I were able to go to the market and look at clothes and spices. We were able to trade some of our silk for their spices. Some including a couple spices that are hard to get in India.

Next Stop: Gilgit (Day 68)
While we continued on our way, we met a couple people that took us to this very nice city called Gilgit. When going there, I was very skeptical to come to this city considering how little I knew of it. As we came up to the city, there were many mountains around and snow, so white, on the tips of the mountains. I was able to see some men going up that mountain which made me very curious as to what they were doing.. Maybe they're just having fun? The first place that we went to was a temple. There were many Buddhist and monks that were all so serene and happy. They showed us some Buddhist Sanskrit texts that were very interesting. Of course, our friends were the ones that had to translate it but it was really good to see how Buddhism is and the effects of it here in Gilgit. Our friends were able to give their own opinion and insight on the whole ordeal. Some said that they were so proud to have people from their own town be Buddhist. I was able to learn and understand more about their culture and religions.

First Stop: Delhi (Day 26)
Due to some problems with the heat, it's was taking a little longer to make it in Delhi! We only have camels to use and ride on. Even with the camels, they are getting old and we have too much things to take with us. I'm sure that we will need some new camels soon! While getting there, there was very few things to see. Most of it was deserted or had little mountains.. It has been about a month since we left and it is becoming worry-some. We basically have no clue to what kind of people there are and what kind of animals are there as well.
As we made it there, there were so many nice and welcoming people! Edha and I were able to go around and explore the city while our husbands did some trading. We found some nice silk dresses and even some great spices. The silk felt so nice and different compared to the ones in India. Maybe I just like it more because it’s from a different place. The colors everywhere are so vibrant! Not to mention the spices! The spices make my world go round. They have over hundreds of spices in the market- I love it!

My Journey: The Beginning. (Day 1)
Hello, my name is Sachi! In my journey I will be going through the Silk Road (Inda to Bactria). I am going with my husband, Dakshi and his brother, Eashan and and wife, Edha! My husband and his brother are merchants that would like to trade silk for spices. We would never leave our husbands so we are going with them to explore the world. Edha and I are also best friends so it's good that we will be traveling together and be closer! For a family so big, it is very surprising that we have not gotten into a fight yet. Especially considering how important and big the silk road is right now. Everyone or every man wants a part in it. It is giving us more opportunity to become rich and be able to sell more things. It is my dream that on day, Edha and I will own a store to sell our silk. We really need this money because our husbands want to spend whatever they get from the trip on other silly things. I know that it is not my place to tell them what to do but it would be nice to have the whole power sometimes.
Come with us and join our Journey to Bactria! :)
